My one (1) Devil May Cry OC that I made years ago has since become four (4) separate characters with their own back stories and alignments and I only just now have the energy to write shit down and it's so fucking hard my god

Like this is a whole cast now with more details storylines than most of the actual cannon characters

You guys know what time it is. Its time for round 3 of DMC OC Week :D

We were a little late this year, sorry bout that but shit happens yah know? But we're here now and have a new set of date for you all based on community feed back :D

Tumblr really was like what if we did both lol So we had to chose a happy medium between the two.

Now that you all have those let's get into what everyone will be needing :3

What do you need to know?

The event for this year will be taking place from November 13th - November 19th Both on Twitter and here on Tumblr

Feel free to post wherever you like, even on both platforms if you prefer. However if your worried about time, please don't :3 At least not too much :p It's ok if you can't get everything done in time. Just share what you can, when you can during this time period and we'll make sure to get it out there for people to see.

We'll most likely still be sharing stuff a little while after the event is done so don't feel pressured to churn stuff out :)

DMC OC WEEK DAY 6

Meet Lenore MacGowen

Lenore is my newest OFC.

I created her specifically for my newest series 'Demons and Goddesses' and she actually makes her first appearance in my story 'In Need of A Coat'.

She and Soranna Lazarescu are in the same class of 'witches' in that series. I explain more about their powers in the story and how they know each other. It's actually a series that I've had in mind for a while, but haven't been able to execute it in a way that I like until now.

Lenore is a seamstress born in Ireland. She is actually responsible for Dante's coat in DMC1 and in her own story 'In Need of A Coat' Dante asks her to make another for him. Of course, he has to earn that coat. She is also a skilled midwife and nurse (though not registered and working illegally to help those who cannot afford Healthcare in Red Grave) also able to use her powers to heal others.

She has that stern Irish temper about her. There is no non-sense with her and she will be the first one to put Dante in his place. However, her compassion for helping others in less fortunate situations runs deep. She aims to protect and care for those who need it. By doing this, it puts her in a precarious position because she is not as strong as Anna or the other Savants (they will get their own post). Lenore is aware that Dante can help her with a problem in the more derelict parts of Red Grave, and this is how he will earn that coat we see in DMC5.

Her character model is also based on Jennifer Lawrence. I was going to use Kerri Russel, but I ended up making a separate character with her.

Evangeline Céliath, The Angelic Huntress

⋆ Character Traits + Headcanons

Daughter of an angel and a human woman; her father is the leader of the Virtues and represents the Virtue of Temperance.

French heritage from mother's side, can speak it since she was 8;

Thanks to her jackass father strong angelical genes, she have long, straight pearly white hair, from her mother she heritated her jade-green eyes;

Have a beauty mark on the left corner of her mouth that's not exactly a beauty mark, it's a spiritual scar that showed up after a very traumatic episode...

Is 175cm / 5'9 inches tall, hourglass figure (we stan a big boobed curvy lady here)

Her favorite colors are white and light blue.

Met with Dante when he was 19 and she 18, in the middle of a hunt, and lets just say they didn't started well; they started as strangers to rivals, but that good, healthy rivalry.

Around their 20s, they became roommates because Evangeline did not lived at the same city Dante lives + at that point they were pretty comfortable friends around each other.

And they were roommates... omg they were roommates

She's from a city called Caelumia — a healthy, fancy city that's known for the "The Doorway to Heaven" status.

Dante have many, many angel-related petnames for Evangeline: lovebird, birdie, wingaboo <- this one in particular is similar to Chat Noir calling Ladybug "bugaboo", cherubabe, but his ultimate favourite is angelcake. In return, she calls him daredevil.

^ You'll hardly see Dante calling Evangeline by her actual name, though. It's either the petnames or variants of her name (Angie, Line, Vangie, Angel).

She have a thing for hazelnut flavoured food, especially hazelnut cookies with cinnamon on it, it's her comfort food.

Also have a several sweet-tooth.

Evangeline's Angel Trigger is brown, white and gold colored and looks very much like this.

Her wings are summonable by will (it wasn't until she hitted her 15 years), whether on Angel Trigger or not and are very big, eagle-like shaped with golden-brown feathers.

^ now cut for Dante snuggling on her wings whenever he can.

Is a Devil Hunter not because she had some demonic-related traumatic episode, she hunts them because she saw what horrors they are capable to do with the Human World and with the humans who cannot defend themselves properly; and it didn't seemed fair that she, who's strong and capable to rip them with her bare hands, wouldn't do something to "repair" it.

Evangeline's combat moves style are inspired by ballet moves, she wields her spear with grace but precise choreography.

Speaking of, angels have a thing for spears and absolutely despises swords like the demons use because "we are creatures born from pure light, they are unhinged darkness so we're better than them bla bla bla". So, since ever, Evangeline was trained to wield spears, having one named Adamant.

^ Angels also don't like fire weapons, but she owns a platinum pair of guns named Grace & Glory.

^ she refers to them as "my girls/besties".

Is demisexual. Never dated anyone until Dante.

Evangeline is kinda touch-starved but very affectionate, loves cuddling with Dante on their days-off.

Is a morning bird and a light sleeper, waking up at 6:00 AM everyday, no matter how tired or sleepy she may be. Much in contrast to Dante, who's a bed bug and sleeps like a rock.

Knows how to cook, loves cooking and always end up bringing breakfast on bed for her lovely, lazy devil.

Usually she's the little spoon when cuddling but they switch, mostly because Dante loves to bury his face on her ample, soft breasts.

^ this bitch likes to call them Jupiter and Saturn, I'm-

They dated until DMC1 events, after that, thanks to daddy issues and Heaven and Hell problems, they broke up.

Got stuck on Heaven for quite some years and after the events of DMC2 she finally came back buuut they didn't were in the best of the terms. Took a lot of time for them to befriend again, to like each other again and eventually, be lovers once more.

Does sculpting on wood and knows how to draw, but overall prefers sculpting.

She does have some sketches of Dante sleeping, eating pizza, on the phone, etc.

Evangeline have a thing for teen 2000s magazines and decor magazines as well, she likes to make notes with arrows and circles, pointing out what she liked, what could be better, etc.

When she's whiny enough she snuggles on Dante, giving him lots of kisses and squeezes just the way he likes.

Teases and flirts with him wherever, whenever. Gosh, they even have little flirting contenders, they are so silly, I love 'em.

Smells like cinnamon and hazelnut, with a petit hint of vanilla.

Huge, and I mean, HUGE, fan of Sade and her songs, her favourite albums being Diamond Life and Love Deluxe.

Zephyr, on his own, isn't powerful at all. Aside from his "DT" transformation which is really just him going apeshit with the help of his devil-arm, he doesnt actually weild any *usable* demonic power of his own. Not any more at least.

He gets his power from his devil-arm / companion, Fia. The best way to describe Fia is that she's a visualization of pure demonic energy, which Zephyr controls through his devil arm. (She is sentient and can talk to Zephyr ill probably explain her in a different post)

Now on the other hand, if he had the power of Fia, all the bosses he kills in his storyline, and his original devil form before he was exiled from the underworld??? A lot more powerful to say the least. Maybe not on the level of Mundus, but up there.

A hybrid of some kind, with power comparable to (if not equal to) that of the main cast.

A full-blooded human who wields demonic magic of some kind.

An ordinary human who hunts devils with conventional weaponry.

An ordinary human who aids devil hunters in a non-combative way.

An ordinary human with a mundane job who associates with the main cast in some other context.

A demon that's appeared in the games as a basic enemy, but with a unique personality.

An original demon, as powerful as an early-to-mid game boss.

An original demon, as powerful as a late game boss (Mundus, Argosax, etc.).

DMC OC WEEK DAY 5

Lilith

Lilith is a character I set up to appear in 'Parts of a Whole' as a possible ally for the twins. I got her character details and an outline made just for the story arch I was working on.

Then, I suffered burnout with that series and ended it.

She could still appear in my newest series, but I think she would make a better antagonist.

Basically, she is Sparda's mother.

She has a very big role to play in the new series that will solve a mystery we've all been trying to figure out since the first DMC game hit shelves. She will also bring along her entire retinue of generals and peons that will prove to be a challenge for Dante and Vergil.

I don't want to spoil anything about my headcanon and her place in it.

All you need to know is that she has an army and she has a goal. That is it.

As far as her personality, as soon as we get to her, you will see exactly what she is like.

Her human form is modeled by Lady Gaga.

I used AI to make her demon form.

Making Treats: A DMC OC Week Halloween Fic

Hey there! So @dmc-oc-week-specialedition is just around the corner, and they're having a little Halloween event before the fun itself begins. So I figured I'd write a little something for it! It's a short little fic, but I hope it's enjoyable regardless!

“Thank you again for coming here on such short notice, Kay. I’m really sorry for calling you over here at the last minute,” Kyrie apologized, for what had to have been the fifth time.

Kay looked up at her from the bowl she was mixing and lightly shook her head. “Kyrie, it’s fine, I told you,” she said with a giggle. “It’s no problem at all.” If anything, she was glad to have a reason to come out to Fortuna. She hadn’t been able to make her way out here in quite some time, things had been far too busy lately, so she’d have taken any excuse to come over to see her friends. Especially considering the occasion.

Nero and Kyrie had decided to throw a Halloween party for the kids at the orphanage. And like any party, it required some set-up. But even with Nero having demon powers, trying to get everything done by themselves was impossible, so they decided to call over some extra hands. Which was why Kay was now standing in the orphanage’s kitchen, making some baked goods for the party.

Kay had jumped at the chance to help out. Not just because she loved being able to bake or because she wanted to see everyone in Fortuna, but because she absolutely loved Halloween. It was one of her favorite holidays of all time. The treats, the costumes, the horror movies, she loved it all with a passion! And there was just no way she was gonna leave these kids without a chance to enjoy the best holiday ever, she was gonna make sure it turned out great for them.

Kyrie smiled at her sheepishly, still feeling a little guilty despite the reassurances. Even if Kay wasn’t upset, she was sure she’d interrupted her own Halloween plans by having her come over. But if she said it was fine, she wasn’t about to budge on that point. She knew that much. She went over to roll out the cookie dough she’d been working on, figuring she might as well change the subject. “So then, you two brought your costumes, right?”

“Of course we did,” Kay answered as she mixed up the brownie batter. “After all, what Halloween party would it be if we didn’t wear costumes?” Sure, the kids would all be in costumes, the party was for them after all, but she wasn’t about to be stopped from enjoying one of the best parts of the holiday. “How about you guys?”

“Well, Nico said she has a costume, but I don’t know what it is,” Kyrie admitted. The mechanic had insisted on keeping it a surprise. “She’s assured me though that it’s child friendly, so no worrying about that.”

“I mean, I’d think Nico would know better than to wear an inappropriate costume at a kid’s party,” Kay laughed. “After all, she knows wearing something raunchy would make you mad, and making you mad is like having a death wish.”

Kyrie giggled. “True. I might not have demon powers, but I’m a feisty one when I’m mad.” She finished rolling the dough and playfully flexed one of her arms for emphasis.

Kay laughed as she poured the batter into the tray. “What about you and Nero?”

Kyrie winked and giggled. “Sorry, it’s a secret~!” She began placing the cookie cutters into the dough. “You’ll just have to wait until tonight to see it.”

Oh, so that’s how it was gonna be? Two could play at that game. “Well, guess that means you’ll have to wait to see what our costumes are too.”

The door to the kitchen opened, causing both girls to turn their heads at the new arrival. Standing there was V, wearing a black tuxedo with a cape, and a white mask covering the right side of his face. Well, so much for keeping the costumes a secret. If only he knew how bad his timing was. “Pardon my interruption,” he said, walking towards the sink. “I required a break from decorating and figured I could grab myself some water.” He pulled out an empty water bottle as he spoke, showing how empty it was.

“It’s fine, we were just getting ready to put these in the oven anyhow,” Kyrie said, as she transferred the cut cookies onto a baking sheet.

“You’re not overdoing it, are you?” Kay asked, looking over V in concern. Even though he wasn’t anywhere near as frail as he was back in June, he had a habit of pushing himself beyond his limits on accident. Which meant that she had to make sure he wasn’t pushing himself too hard. “Your foot’s not acting up, is it?”

V chuckled as he refilled the water bottle. “I promise you I’m not going overboard, Starlight,” he said. “And my foot is fine. I did bring my cane with me and would be using it if needed. Besides, Nero is keeping a close eye on me, so I doubt I’ll do anything too strenuous under his watch.” He wouldn’t admit it, but he was grateful for his nephew’s help in this matter. He’d never been to a Halloween party before, and he’d certainly hate to miss out on the fun all because he exhausted himself before it could even begin.

“Just making sure, you can’t exactly blame me for that.”

“No, I certainly can’t. Griffon does enjoy reminding me how much of a handful I am.”

The oven beeped, signaling it was done preheating. Kyrie and Kay grabbed their respective treats and placed them on separate racks in the oven. The timer was set, and Kyrie decided to ask the question that was on both of their minds. “So V, why do you have your costume on already? The party’s not starting until this evening.”

V blinked a few times before looking from Kay to Kyrie back and forth. It only seemed to dawn on him right then that they weren’t wearing their costumes either. “I guess that’d explain why no one else is wearing their costumes,” he admitted.

The girls giggled at his response. “Yeah, it’s not time to put them on yet,” Kay said. “After all, I don’t think it’d be a good idea to try baking in them.” What with all the flour and frosting and batter that could easily be spilled. And she definitely didn’t want to get anything on her costume.

That reasoning made sense to him. Now that he thought about it, it would probably be easier to get decorating done if he wasn’t in costume. “…I suppose I got ahead of myself then,” he said, not knowing how else to respond.

“Yeah, a little bit,” Kay said. She walked over to him and pulled him down to kiss him on the cheek.

“At least I now know for the future.”

“If it helps, I think you look very handsome, V,” Kyrie said, hoping to alleviate V’s potential embarrassment a little. “You make a perfect Phantom of the Opera.”

V smirked back at the singer. “Thank you, Kyrie.” He took Kay’s hand in his own and pulled her closer to him. “But wait until you see my Christine. She’ll look absolutely stunning.” He kissed her hand, causing Kay to blush.

“Well, um, it’s not that amazing, h-he’s exaggerating,” she stammered, though she knew that she wouldn’t be able to convince her otherwise.

“I’m looking forward to seeing it,” Kyrie said, giving Kay a break. It was always fun watching the two of them flirt, they made a good pair. “You should probably head back to decorating though, we still have work to do and so do you.”

Ah yes, the others would start wondering where he was if he continued to loiter here. “True, the last thing you two need is Griffon flying in here and yelling his beak off,” he admitted. He let go of Kay and began to make his way to the door. “I shall take my leave now.” He gave one last glance at Kay before leaving. “I’ll see you later, my angel of music.” And with that flirtatious comment, he was gone.

Kay let out a sigh of relief, silently thanking Kyrie for the save. “Well, guess you know what we’re going as,” she nervously laughed.

“I think it’s fitting for you two,” Kyrie said as she took out a bag of apples. “You do love that story after all.”

“It was V’s idea, actually,” Kay corrected, taking out large containers of caramel and chocolate sauce. “Don’t tell him I said this, but I think he’s excited to be celebrating Halloween for the first time in years. I doubt he’s celebrated it since he was a kid, and well, that was a really long time ago.”

Kyrie nodded her head, well aware of V’s unique circumstances for existing. It was strange to think the man was once a part of Nero’s father, but the world of demons was full of strange occurrences as she’d learned over the years. She wasn’t even sure if it was the weirdest thing she’d heard of. “I hope he enjoys the party,” she said. “Even though it’s mainly for the kids, I want everyone to have fun.”

Kay smiled softly, of course Kyrie had been thinking of everyone. Knowing her, her real reason for inviting them was for them to have fun and relax, something that hadn’t been easy since the Qliphoth incident. She really was thoughtful like that. “Don’t worry, I’m sure he will. I’ll make sure of it.”

“I’m sure you will, though with you here I’m sure he’d have a good time no matter what.”

Kay rolled her eye. “Yeah, yeah, so you say,” she said. “Now come on, these apples won’t dip themselves.” She looked at the single bag Kyrie had pulled out skeptically. “You sure those are gonna be enough?”

“Oh don’t worry, I got plenty of other bags,” Kyrie said. “Just thought we’d get through this one first and go from there.”

Kay shook her head. At least she was prepared. “Alright, let’s get to it then!”

As the two girls continued to prepare their treats for the evening, Kay had a good feeling that no matter how exactly the evening would go, she would have a fun time with her friends and partner. After all, it was hard for her to not have fun on Halloween, and with her partner there by her side she knew it’d be even more fun than it would’ve been otherwise.
